About

Starting out as make-up artist and hair stylist for film, fashion and photographic shoots in Sydney, Yasmin also worked her skills as a in-house make-up artist for major Cosmetic Brands.

With a Certificate IV in Business from FBI College under her belt, she interned at Mercedes Australian Fashion Week, and for prominent fashion agents and fashion designers, and moved on to a full-time position in fashion PR, charming and cajoling fashion magazines and stylists to secure the best editorial coverage for the designers in her corner.

Not content with being an experienced make-up artist, hair stylist, and generally fabulous girl-about-town, Yasmin turned her creative spark and her bower-bird eye to fashion design. She made a bold move back to her hometown of Newcastle in 2006 to study Certificate IV in Clothing Production, and quickly made her mark as a brilliant designer and seamstress, winning the People’s Choice Award at the Cellar in the Cells Young Designer of the Year competition in that same year.

Upon completion of a Diploma of Textiles, Clothing and Footwear, Yasmin decided to expand her world view by temporarily relocating to the USA and reveling in the experiences found living in places as diverse as Dallas, TX & Hollywood. CA. She managed all this while working busily as a visual merchandiser and simultaneously teaching wide-eyed Americans the wonders of Aussie culture.

Now back in Sydney, Yasmin is currently working as Freelance Make-up Artist & Visual Merchandiser as well as running her own fashion label, Full Credit Originals.

She has an addictive personality & started One Fine Star to share her knowledge on make-up, skincare & hair styling as well as her general life obsessions.
